iPhone 15 Sneak Peek: Dynamic Island for Vanilla Models, Action-Packed Pros

Once again, fresh leaks have emerged about the upcoming iPhone 15, offering us a sneak peek at the color choices for this new generation. Apple Insider has managed to get their hands on some of these dummy units and created a video showcasing not only the color options but also some noteworthy design alterations for the iPhone 15 series.

For the standard iPhone 15 model, you can expect the classic White and Black color options to be available, alongside three delightful pastel choices: Yellow, Pink/Red, and Blue. It's worth noting that the chassis still retains its aluminum construction, complete with a stylish brushed finish.

Upon closer inspection of the sides, it's evident that the iPhone 15 dummies still include the toggle button. Additionally, they retain the SIM card tray, which is likely to be retained for international models but may not be featured in the US and Canadian versions.

One of the most intriguing changes to note is the inclusion of the Dynamic Island, signaling the end of the notch era. This aligns with months of rumors that have been circulating, so it doesn't come as a surprise.

Turning our attention to the iPhone 15 Pro, it will maintain the classic Silver and Space Black options, while introducing a new flagship color called Titan Gray, along with a striking deep Blue variant. Although the dummies showcase glossy sides, it's probable that the actual phones will boast a matte finish on their titanium frames.

A noteworthy change on the side of these devices is the introduction of the new Action button. Interestingly, it appears relatively small, similar in size to the toggle button it replaces. This contrasts with its more prominent presence on the Apple Watch Ultra, where it first made its debut. The Action button is set to be highly versatile, offering configurability with up to 9 functions, including options for silent mode, accessibility features, shortcuts, camera and flashlight control, magnifier, translation, and voice memos.

On the bottom of these dummy units, you can spot the presence of a USB-C port. However, it's essential to mention that distinguishing between the Pro models with Thunderbolt ports and the standard models with potentially plain USB 2.0 ports cannot be confirmed based on these dummy units alone. Another potential hardware distinction between the vanilla and Pro models could be their charging speeds, with the former likely offering a 20W charging capability and the latter possibly reaching up to 35W.
